So, what has all the stuff I have been writing about lately, have to do with Self Hypnosis? Well quite a lot really. You see that there is a link between the function of the brain and the Mind.
Hypnosis is a natural function of the Brain/Mind. We hypnotise ourselves, both consciously and unconsciously, into accepting limiting beliefs as well as a limited view of the world.
What I have been trying to demonstrate with my last few posts is that our view of the world (our beliefs) can either help or hinder us. We can have supportive and expansive beliefs or limiting and unsupportive beliefs.
Either way, we have adopted our beliefs and programmed them into our sub-conscious mind using our natural hypnotic processes. That is, we have either embedded something in a strong emotional state or repeated something over and over until is is embedded.
These beliefs operate 24/7 without pause or our conscious awareness.
My stories, I hope, have shown that once we become aware of our thinking and beliefs, that we are able to start overcoming them. If we look for the positive evidence that reinforces the new belief we will see that our world begins to change. Things we thought hard to do become easier. Beliefs about ‘falling off’, for example, drop aware and are replaced with beliefs of ‘staying on’. We find that life begins to flow better and we are able to enjoy it more.
So learning and understanding about hypnosis or self-hypnosis is a powerful tool to help one change one’s life for the positive.
