Become a Diamond Miner

Russel Conwell told a story about “Acres of diamonds”. It was later retold by Earl Nightingale. It is a great metaphor for us to seek wealth and riches within us.

What is the story about and why is it still relevant today?

Well, you may have noticed a common theme in my last few posts. One that we have acquired a layer detritus in our minds. This layer was laid down at an early age and we never really question it.

We wear it almost with pride, like a fine set of clothes. The story – “the Emperors New Clothes” comes to mind… The detritus is not who we really are…It is the labels and limiting beliefs that we have acquire along the way to growing to an adult.

The opportunity for us now is to clear away the detritus that is in our minds. To learn that there are diamonds right here within us. To awaken to our true potential.

But first we need to believe that there are diamonds within us. That we are more than the labels we have been given or have given ourselves.

Become a diamond miner of your own mind. Believe that you have the potential, it is only a matter of uncovering it. Once you discover your diamond, it is then the process of polishing it. OF making it sparkle and shine.
