A Fertile Mind

As I have journeyed through the study of the mind, I noticed that as we age, we become aware of the unsupportive programming in our minds. We seek the tools and knowledge with which to change that programming and improve our lives.

But now as I pause to reflect on the changes that hypnosis enables us to make to our subconscious mind as an adult, is it time to pause and think about how that we picked up our unsupportive programs. As research is showing, these programs are typically picked up in childhood.

With the knowledge we are gaining, are we stopping and thinking about the impact that we have on those who are younger than us, and over whom we have great influence?

These are typically the children in our lives. A child’s mind is very fertile it takes on all that we tell it without much discrimination. Our challenge therefore is to understand this and to choose our words and actions wisely.
acornIs it not our responsibility to learn how we influence the minds of our children with the words we use each day? To understand how the intensity and emotion we place on events and moments in time impacts our children when they are around us?

I say yes! We are where we are today as a result of society and parents not fully comprehending the impact of the words on their young minds. That their ability to discriminate what is said to them comes later in their lives.

Pause, and think about the life scripts we are giving our children. We can plant weeds or flowers and great trees. What do you choose to plant?

until next time

About selfhypnosisresource

Hi there. I have an interest in personal change - for the better and have done so for many years. I am working on meditation - that's a work in progress. I have been on a number of Vipassana retreats. I found these of great value. I also have an interest in self-hypnosis and how it can help with self improvement. My blog is on topics associated with personal change, hypnosis, Vipassana and Huna
