In a previous post I talked about creating an image in your mind of what you would look like in your desired future state. The example I used was – “what would you look like if you were 10lbs (4.5kg) lighter?” Now get that image in your mind? Having a clear image is great, but you can reinforce it and therefore help to create better circuits in your brain, with another exercise.
That’s right, the new connections you are making in your brain to support the future you, get a boost with the addition of the energy of the emotions. So who will you feel when you are are your goal weight? How much more energy will you have? What other emotions will you feel? Happier, greater confidence, higher self esteem? How will you feel as people complement you? How will it feel fitting into the smaller clothes sizes?By adding the emotions to the image and focusing your attention on it and the emotions for a few minutes each day, you will increase the strength of the new habits and give yourself an additional boost to reaching your goal.
Again, the script that you are using (image + emotions + supporting thoughts + focus) help to embed the change. When you feel yourself slipping back to the old way of thinking and looking at yourself, take a breath and bring the new image to mind focus on it. The more you focus on the new image, the old image and thinking will slowly fade away.
Develop that life script and use hypnosis to give you a head start and boost in the direction you have chosen.
