One of the things that I have learnt on my journey, is that for any change to stick, you have to keep pressing play! Not only that, you also need to focus and concentrate on the change that you are trying to make.
What do I mean by keeping pressing play? I mean keep repeating the program that you are following for the change you are seeking to make. Repetition is the name of the game. The brain develops new connections as you start out with the chosen change. As you keep repeating the program (listening to the hypnosis or self-hypnosis tracks) the neural networks within your brain begin to strengthen. Have you ever noticed that the more you do something the easier it gets? That is just the same with creating new habits.
I spoke in a previous blog, that the more you follow through on the new behaviour, the stronger that behaviour becomes in your mind. The old paradigms, ways of thinking and doing will still surface. But if you ignore them and carry on practicing the new patterns, new paradigms, ways of thinking and behaving, the old patterns will die away.
Why? The brain works on the principle of “use it or loose it”. So the more you use the new behaviour adn less of the old one, the new behaviour will become dominant.
