So where is your attention focused?

What do you think about during the day?  Where are your thoughts going or taking you?  It is interesting – I came across a statistic the other day.  We have something like 20,000 thoughts a day (the number is up for debate but everyone seems to agree that it’s a large positive number in the tens of thousands!). That got me to thinking (adding to the 20,000!) about what I think about.

Add to that the third Huna precept of Makia: Energy flows where attention goes!  So where are my thoughts taking me?

Then I added Ike – the world is what you think it is.. (mirrors reflecting your thoughts back to you) and pretty soon you start to get a picture of what you are thinking about and where your energy is focused. Is it positive or negative? And what your world looks like.

Hmm looking at my life’s mirrors and seeing what is being reflected back at me sure gives me some pointers as to where my attention has been for a little while – lack and conflict!

How many of these thoughts are positive and support me in the direction I want to go?  Which by the way begs the question – where exactly am I going and what do I want?

hmmmm – questions to be answered…..in another post.

About selfhypnosisresource

Hi there. I have an interest in personal change - for the better and have done so for many years. I am working on meditation - that's a work in progress. I have been on a number of Vipassana retreats. I found these of great value. I also have an interest in self-hypnosis and how it can help with self improvement. My blog is on topics associated with personal change, hypnosis, Vipassana and Huna
