I mentioned the importance of concentration in my last post. Why do I say that concentration is important? Concentration is the key that unlocks many doors in life. Hypnosis is one door and meditation is another. Being able to be absorbed in the current moment allows you to unlock many potentials.
Not just being able to concentrate on the things that you love doing, but all tasks that you are involved with.
As you develop your ability to concentrate on any and all tasks, then your world will begin to open.
The other side of the coin of concentration is mindfulness. As you develop your concentration you also develop mindfulness. As you develop mindfulness, then you start to expand your joy and presence.
So how does one increase or improve their concentration? There are many ways and a quick Google search will find them. One way that I use from my Vipassana practice is Anapana – or concentration on the breath as it enters and leaves the nose. Noticing the sensations of the breath around the nose. Noticing the texture of the breath.
Another technique is to practice memorising a picture. Look at a picture for 2 minutes. Take everything in that you can. Then close your eyes and try to remember everything that is in the picture. These are just some of the techniques for improving your concentration.
Developing your concentration is like developing a muscle. The more you do it, the better you become. The better you become the more you are able to develop your skills with hypnosis / self-hypnosis. Not to mention meditation đŸ™‚
