Scripts

Hi there again.

As I am journeying through the discovery of what is involved with hypnosis and self hypnosis, I am learning many things at new levels. What do I mean by that?

Well, I have been reading about a lot of the stuff I am doing, over many years.  I am re-discovering a lot of what I already learnt and am now applying it in a different way.

I’d liken a good hypnosis outcome to a combination of a good script and a good director. It is like the difference between a good movie and an indifferent movie.  A great director can’t always may a poor script into a great movie.  Nor can a great script make a good movie with a poor director.

Lets look at scripts.  What do I mean by a script?  In part it is what the professional hypnotist is saying on the hypnosis CD or MP3.  It is also the scripts that you write for yourself.  What your vision is that you want to be, do or have.  The scripts that you write for yourself are the building blocks that help you to achieve your goal or desire.

Without a good script, the movies in your mind wont be big or bold or evoke the necessary emotion.  Taking the time to write your scripts is a pre-requisite for getting a better outcome.  Take the time to put in the detail.  If it was a movie, what directions would you put in the script for the director?  What emotion would you like to evoke and when?

Play with it a little 🙂 A good script will make a good self hypnosis session great.

About selfhypnosisresource

Hi there. I have an interest in personal change - for the better and have done so for many years. I am working on meditation - that's a work in progress. I have been on a number of Vipassana retreats. I found these of great value. I also have an interest in self-hypnosis and how it can help with self improvement. My blog is on topics associated with personal change, hypnosis, Vipassana and Huna
