A confession.  I have been trying to do to much.  Listen to too many different hypnosis programs and read too many articles and practice what they say.  The outcome?  Not sticking to the one program and therefore not getting the benefits I should be!  I am now getting back on track.  🙂

The learning?  Focus on one thing at a time until it is mastered!  In this case, both mastered and embedded.  Going back to listening to the hypnosis CD morning and night.  Focusing on the exercises in the book that support the hypnosis CD.

We might be inclined to think that we’ve been doing well for 3 or 4 weeks and think that everything is fine….. 🙂 not so 😦  It has taken a lifetime to develop the programs in our sub-conscious minds that influence our day to day lives.  My research has led me in many directions.  Some of my findings I’ll share more of in this blog.

As I mentioned in a previous post, it takes 21 days to change a habit.  It takes 90 days to totally embed that new habit!  So loosing focus and drifting off looking at other hypnosis programs isn’t helping embed the changes that I want.  Nor is trying other scripts (more on that in another post).

So it is back to focusing on just the one self hypnosis program and working diligently on the exercises.  Having wandered off and come back I have noticed that I am better able to visualise  / imagine the changes I desire.  This in turn is allowing me to create stronger emotional connection to the desired changes.  As I listen to the self hypnosis script I am feeling myself more engaged.

This is resulting in me noticing subtle changes in my attitude outside of listening to the hypnosis CD.

Well that is all for today.  Until next time – metta

About selfhypnosisresource

Hi there. I have an interest in personal change - for the better and have done so for many years. I am working on meditation - that's a work in progress. I have been on a number of Vipassana retreats. I found these of great value. I also have an interest in self-hypnosis and how it can help with self improvement. My blog is on topics associated with personal change, hypnosis, Vipassana and Huna
