Most of us at some time in our lives have tried to make changes to our lives and habits. Changing a habit that isn’t working for us any more, like: not exercising, over eating. Biting finger nails. If you’re anything like me, you’ve started out with good intentions then petered out after 1 or 2 months and fallen back into the old habit.
What I noticed about myself is that’d I’d consume a book. Read it from cover to cover, put it down then go and look for another one! I’d give some of the exercises listed in the book a half-hearted go, but didn’t devote the time I needed to. I’d put the book on the self with all the other books I’d read on the subject and then go and buy another one and do exactly the same thing!
I’d come across hypnosis some time ago but didn’t really follow it up.
A friend gave me a book by Paul Mckenna – Change Your Life in Seven Days. It came with a CD. I was going through a particularly bad patch in my life so I decided to give it a go. As I read my way through the book, I also listened to the hypnosisCD. I listened to the hypnosis CD each day (as suggested in the book) and as the days rolled by I began to notice changes in myself, changes for the better. I was feeling better in myself and handling my day to day life better.
This intrigued me so I began to do some research into hypnosis and self-hypnosis. What I read interested me so I decided to set up a website www.selfhypnosisresource.com that presented a selection of the various hypnosis systems available. It also provides articles on hypnosis and personal change as well as books on hypnosis and self-hypnosis and links to hypnosis downloads and hypnosis CD’s.
